Laila Al-Arshani

Laila Al-Arshani is pursuing a dual degree in Cognitive Science and Environmental Sciences with a concentration in Environmental Health. Her research interest revolves around undertaking innovative ways to approach environmental health, which in Dr. Ryberg’s lab, includes accelerating the solar disinfection of drinking water using technologies under a variety of environmental conditions.

Outside of her interest in research, Laila enjoys interacting with and giving back to her community through volunteering in community kitchens and initiatives which deliver care to underserved individuals. She is passionate about travel, education, and developing new skills in any area wherever she can.
