Tahmeed Solaman

Undergraduate Researcher


Tahmeed Solaman is a senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Computer Science & Engineering, with minors in Analytics and Mathematics. In the Ryberg Lab, Tahmeed designs and implements coding-based projects to expand the capacities of the lab, including Arduino-based air quality sensors and LED-based photoreactors. His work bridges software development with hardware integration, aiming to advance environmental monitoring technologies. Through his work, Tahmeed hopes to use his coding skills to create solutions to environmental problems.

Beyond the lab, he loves staying active by going on hikes and working out, spending time with family and friends, and playing basketball. He is also involved in the UConn community as he is currently the Fundraising Chair for the Bangladeshi Student Association at the University of Connecticut.
