Dr. Eric Ryberg is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Connecticut. Prior to joining UConn, he conducted his postdoctoral research at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution on the interconnections of photochemistry and manganese cycling in the environment. He earned his PhD from Yale University, specializing in the development of drinking water treatment technologies for applications in low-income countries. Professor Ryberg’s research interests bring together environmental chemistry and engineering with the goal of improving environmental health, especially in the space of water quality, photochemistry, and environmental monitoring.
Beyond academics, he enjoys spending time outdoors by going on hikes and runs.
